Gravity measurement with seconds pendulum (Kater's pendulum))
Description
A seconds pendulum is a pendulum whose period is precisely two seconds; one second for a swing in one direction and one second for the return swing, a frequency of 1/2 Hz. For a seconds pendulum, the length is simply proportional to g, so the acceleration of gravity at a location can be measured by the length of the pendulum.
