# Faraday - Lenz law (for a tightly wound coil of wire)

## Description

Electromagnetic induction is the production of an electromotive force across a conductor when it is exposed to a varying magnetic field. The induced electromotive force in any closed circuit is equal to the rate of change of the magnetic flux through the circuit. For a tightly wound coil of wire, composed of N identical turns, each with the same magnetic flux going through them, the resulting electromotive force is related to the number of the turns of the coil and the rate of change of the magnetic flux.
