## Description

In physics and electrical engineering, a conductor is an object or type of material that permits the flow of electrical current in one or more directions. The electrical resistance of an electrical conductor is the opposition to the passage of an electric current through that conductor. The inverse quantity is electrical conductance, the ease with which an electric current passes. The resistance of an object is defined as the ratio of voltage across it to current through it , while the conductance is the inverse. The conductance of a given object depends primarily on two factors: What material it is made of, and its shape. For a given material, the conductance is proportional to the cross-sectional area and inversely proportional to the length of the conductor.
