Displacement (Distance)

Description

A displacement is the shortest distance from the initial to the final position of a point. For motion over a given interval of time, the displacement divided by the length of the time interval defines the average velocity.
If the value of the velocity is given and the period of time too, then the displacement can be calculated by the product of the velocity and the period of time.
