Batchelor vortex (core size)
Description
In fluid dynamics, Batchelor vortices have been found useful in analyses of airplane vortex wake hazard problems. The Batchelor vortex is an approximate solution to the Navier-Stokes equations obtained using a boundary layer approximation. In real vortices there is always a core region surrounding the axis where the particle velocity stops increasing and then decreases to zero
