maximum axial tension - clamp band
Description
In the aerospace industry, the empirical methodology for evaluating the axial load capability of the clamp band joint assumes the joint components to be rigid bodies and treats the occurrence of slip between the interface rings and the V-segments as the failure criterion of the joint. Hence, the maximum axial tension Tm that the joint can bear is given as shown here.
